The Send Message strategy is the most direct way to reach out to your leads. Use it to start conversations, follow up, share information, or move contacts through your funnel.
- Open Facebook Messenger in your browser with the LeadMagicX Chrome extension active.
- Click the LeadMagicX icon to open the sidebar.
- Find the contact you want to message — use search or browse your contact list.
- Click on the contact to open their profile.
- Click Send Message (or open their Messenger conversation directly).
- Type your message — or select a message template to insert a pre-written message.
- Review and personalize the message if needed.
- Hit Send.
Instead of typing each message from scratch, use templates:
- In the conversation view, click the Templates icon in the LeadMagicX sidebar.
- Select a template from your list.
- The message is inserted into the input field — customize it if needed.
- Send.
This is especially useful when doing bulk outreach to multiple contacts. See Creating & Using Message Templates for setup instructions.
Once you’ve messaged a contact:
- Move them to the next funnel stage — e.g., from “New Lead” to “Contacted” (see Working with Funnel Stages).
- Add a note — Record what you discussed or any follow-up needed.
- Check your logs — If LeadMagicX CRM is connected, the message appears in your interaction logs with a “Send Message” subtype.
If you’ve connected LeadMagicX CRM, you can trigger messages automatically from your LeadMagicX CRM workflows:
- Set up a workflow in LeadMagicX CRM that sends a “Send Message” action to LeadMagicX.
- When the workflow triggers, LeadMagicX receives the action and sends the message on your behalf.
- The result (success or failure) is logged in your interaction logs.
This lets you automate follow-ups, drip sequences, and event-based messages without manual effort.
- Personalize every message — even templates should feel like they were written for that person.
- Don’t send the same message to everyone at once — space out your outreach to avoid being flagged by Facebook.
- Follow up within 24–48 hours if you don’t get a reply.
- Keep messages short and end with a question to encourage a response.
- Use your funnel stages to track who you’ve messaged and who still needs follow-up.
