The Teleprompter is a built-in tool that scrolls a script on your screen while recording video. It supports portrait and landscape modes, adjustable scroll speed and font size, and uses your device’s camera and microphone.
Recording video content is easier when you don’t have to memorize your script. The Teleprompter lets you read naturally while looking at the camera, producing professional-looking videos.
- Open Teleprompter from the sidebar (under Tools).
- Choose your script source:
- Select a saved script from the dropdown — this loads scripts created in the Ad Video Scripts tool.
- Use custom script — Toggle the switch and paste or type any text into the editor.
- Click the Settings gear icon to open the settings panel.
- Adjust:
- Scroll Speed — How fast the text moves (use the slider)
- Font Size — How large the text appears (use the slider)
- Video Orientation — Choose Portrait (vertical, 9:16) or Landscape (horizontal, 16:9)
- Video Quality — High, Medium, or Low
- Click the Play button to start scrolling the text.
- The text scrolls smoothly from bottom to top.
- Click Pause to stop scrolling.
- Click Reset to return to the beginning.
- Grant camera and microphone access when prompted.
- Your camera preview appears alongside the scrolling text.
- Click the Record button (red circle) to start recording.
- The teleprompter scrolls while you read and record simultaneously.
- Click Stop to end the recording.
- The recorded video is processed and available for download.
- Click the Fullscreen button to maximize the teleprompter display.
- This is especially useful on mobile devices when recording.
- Press Escape or click the minimize button to exit fullscreen.
- Practice your scroll speed before recording — find the pace that feels natural for your speaking style.
- Portrait mode is ideal for Reels and TikTok; Landscape works for YouTube.
- If you get a camera error, check that your browser has permission to access the camera and microphone.
- The Help button (question mark icon) shows keyboard shortcuts and tips.
