AI Employees are custom AI assistants you build for specific tasks. Each one has its own name, avatar, personality, knowledge, and tools. You can share them publicly via a link or keep them private for your team.
Instead of using one generic AI, you can create specialized assistants — a customer service bot, a content writer, a lead qualifier — each with exactly the right knowledge and behavior for their role.
- Open My AI Employees from the sidebar (under AI Employees).
- Click Create New.
- Fill in the Identity section:
- Name — Give your AI employee a name (e.g., “Sales Sarah” or “Content Coach”)
- Description — A short summary of what this assistant does
- Avatar — Pick an emoji or enter an image URL
- In the Intelligence tab, connect your existing profiles:
- Avatars — Select up to 3 customer avatars for context
- Target Markets — Select up to 3 target markets
- Personas (Digital IDs) — Select up to 3 voice/style guides
- These profiles give the AI employee context about who it’s talking to and how to communicate.
- In the Knowledge tab, attach documents from your Knowledge Base.
- Select individual files, snippets, or URLs.
- You can also attach Shared Knowledge Bases for broader reference material.
- The AI employee uses this knowledge to answer questions accurately.
- In the Tools tab, toggle the built-in tools:
- URL Reader — Reads and extracts content from URLs mentioned in conversation
- Story Bank — Pulls from your personal stories to ground responses
- LeadMagicX CRM — References your connected CRM context
- Image Generation — Enables image creation in responses
- You can also connect Composio integrations for third-party apps.
- In the Behavior tab:
- Welcome Message — The first message visitors see when they open the chat
- System Prompt — Behind-the-scenes instructions that shape the AI’s behavior (e.g., “Always be encouraging and end with a question”)
- Conversation Starters — Suggested prompts visitors can click to begin
- Max Messages Per Session — Limit how many messages per conversation
- Max Sessions Per Day — Limit daily usage
- Toggle Public to make the AI employee accessible via a shareable link.
- Copy the public URL and share it with anyone — they can chat with your AI employee without logging in.
- Keep it Private to restrict access to your team only.
- Start simple — create one AI employee with basic knowledge, then refine over time.
- The system prompt is the most powerful configuration option. Be specific about what the AI should and shouldn’t do.
- You can create as many AI employees as you need for different roles or audiences.
- Pin frequently used AI employees so they appear in the sidebar for quick access.
